SS Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd., situated at a distance of 5 kms from a cluster of villages engaged in production of rectified spirit. The industry was releasing untreated trade effluents, chemical wastes and sewage into open lands abutting the villages. The obnoxious fumes, odours emanating from the distillery were contaminating the water resources and polluting environment. The health of the villagers was seriously affected. The villagers want to resort to legal remedy. Advise.
