East Coast Oil Company plans to establish an oil refinery near a coastal town. It requires millions of liters of water for refinery process that will be met through large scale withdrawal of subterranean water. The people of the area apprehend that there would be complete draining of subterranean water which will affect their day to day water requirements. What legal remedy the people can seek? Advise.
